I’ve put in a few improvements into SoLinkable. You may notice them, you may not…
First off, the “Add this link to” has been removed from the main page, however it is still available in the article page. I felt as though it was not all that necessary to have it listed for every link on the main page, as it created a lot of added size.
Secondly, the images on the site have been drastically reduced in size. I have managed to cut most of the image sizes to at least half of what they were before, without a compromise in quality.
Thirdly, I added quite a few SEO improvements to the entire site, the largest involving the meta descriptions and meta keywords. They are now far more relevant and appropriate to their corresponding pages. For instance – in order to generate the meta description for a submitted article (on the story/article page), it now takes the story title and first 100 characters of the description. In order to generate the meta keywords, the submitted link tags are added to a static set of keywords distinct to each link category. I believe that this improvement will benefit both the site being submitted as well as this pages ability to be indexed and crawled by google.
I have also implemented a few other small improvements not worth noting here.
